How does it work when you look at it in the browser, do you get a static url that's always the same that point to an image that's updated regularly ? Or does the image url differ when the image is update ?
If the url to the image is the same all the time, it would probably be possible to configure a style with the Custom Clock applet through Custom Clock Helper plugin. It has for example a Daylight Clock style that currently takes an image from http://static.die.net display it on the Touch and update it regularly. So you could use this skin but just change the background url to point to your solarlog image instead.
