I've updated to LMS 7.7.1 and had the same problem. It turned out I had to manually add its repository
http://www.koldware.net/SlimStuff/repodata.xml as additional repository in the Plugin tab of the web interface, then select ResetVolume, then restart. Too bad it's not in the recommended list, as my wife cannot tolerate my bedtable Boom without it.
