Applet run in the Touch or Radio and only works for these players. The version number can nly be show from the touch/ radio Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer. The Applet is useful when you want to use BBc Listen Again while connected to mysb.com
Plugin runs in SBS and works for all players npt just Touch and Radio but needs a local SBS/LMS to work. Troubleshooting is totally different depending on whether you are using plugin or applet.
