For me, Twitter is targeted communication to the world, that's pretty
much exactly the opposite use case of RSS feeds which are bulk
communication to people who want to actively follow it.
On Twitter most people post single events ("Check out this track, it's
cool") which
A) everybody can read and
B) others can retweet to announce the info to others and
C) which can be tagged so that people can find it by keyword
("#cooltrack")
You can't do any of that with RSS
