Hi Noobie Touch user here...

I am struggling to understand the difference, significance, of Applets,
Apps and Plugins. If I understand correctly some 'add ons' require both
a Plugin and an Applet to be installed.

Also, it isn't easy to find:

Which 'Applets/Apps/Plugins' work with what Logitech hardware.

What are the minimum performance requirements needed for a NAS/PC
running LMS.

If the added 'Applets/Apps/Plugins' is still supported by the author or
not eg ongoing fixes for bugs and new versions of LMS.

The above issues are putting me off trying out interesting add ons for
fear of trashing my Touch or lead to a total wasting of time.

I have looked for, but have not found, a nice clear post or table that
sets out the above information.

It would be great if a senior user and enthusiastic kind soul could
start/manage a thread/Wiki where experienced users could contribute to
a table that collates all the relevant information for novice users vs
the 'added functionality'

I hope its not asking too much! I have tried trawling through this
forum and the various Wiki pages but I am not an instant expert and not
able to ask all the right questions just yet.

If it is too much then I will be happy just for recommendations as to
which 'added functionality' will work well with my 3x Touch's and QNAP
TS219p+ NAS running LMS 7.7.1. :-)
