Ha ! And there I was thinking that, one day, I'd see a server.log.1 on
my OSX box. But I won't unless I do something about it, so I'm glad you
found out first.

There is a 'hook' that allows this to be tuned by platform, and the
Debian package seems to rotate weekly, subject to size. One could
change that by editing the system configuration. But the default (on
SBS 7.6.1) is a:

-Simple log rotation for systems which don't do this automatically
(OSX/Windows).-

which does:

-# keep one old copy-.

And I think it may only do it when the server starts up and if the size
has reached 10M...

Could be locally modified, but I expect there's a good chance of
inadvertently breaking the logging system if not done right. :)
