You can't do remote access with Logitech's Squeezebox App but with SqueezeCommander it would work, here you can set a remote address. Probably with some of the other Android Apps, too, don't know, only SqueezeCommander and OrangeSqueeze are available for my device and the latter doesn't seem to support it.
You'll also have to open up ports on your router to access your server remotely.
