I've used MusicIP Linux headless for a number of years, but I'm finally
updating my main server from 7.3.4 to something newer like 7.7.2 so I
can use current plugins and set up Dynamic Playlists, newer Sugarcube,
etc.

With that in mind I'm thinking of making it a Windows server (well xp)
this time around specifically so I can run the slightly newer MusicIP
with the GUI. It seems like a no-brainer since it enables a lot more
features that seem pretty well hidden/non-existent under headless in
Linux the only downside being more CPU usage.

So my questions are:
Is MusicIP 1.9 beta 6 as stable as 1.8 under Linux? I'm especially
interested in the watched folders and other tweaks you can set in the
GUI carrying over without using a ton of CPU.

Do I have the leave the GUI running to get the watched folders and
other features functional?

Has anyone had any trouble validating tracks lately? I'm not sure if
its the AMS host or what, but my mixable count is barely budging as I
add more tracks lately.

TIA
