I think you will probably need to open laptop firewall port 8079 because you want to enable a connection to go from player into VLC running on laptop. No need to change fritzbox since connection is on your local LAN. Before opening the firewall 1. You may be able to test by using say Window Media player on the laptop and try to play the stream 2.
