Saturday night my Touch started acting "quirky" once again. After
something like 5 years of struggling with slim devices I finally
snapped.

I decided try a PC based player. After searching around I downloaded a
trial version of JRivers Media center, plugged my laptop into the USB
input on my Burson DAC and started playing.

Two amazing things happened right off. First it worked "out of the
box". Could you imagine a newbie to LMS getting it work without
problems? And this was while having to rely on my wine befuddled mind.

Second the sound was a big improvement over LMS. Most of time when we
audiophiles rave about an improvement it is something we can barely
hear. But this is the real thing. Suddenly the lower midrange and upper
bass had the dynamics and richness that I have been struggling for.

The morning after: I started reading up on JRiver. Sure enough it got a
rave review on Computer Audiophile. One problem though. I doesn't handle
MOG or Spotify. So if I want to listen to my MOG subscription I have to
switch to a different program. Not ideal.

My question to you guys. Does anyone know how to play the output of LMS
through JRiver without using my Touch? I see apps that do the opposite
but not what I want.

Thanks,
