As far as i found out, Ubuntu does not have a activated firewall (or something like that compared to windows). You can of course install a gui like firestarter to play with configuration stuff like ip tables, to set up some firewall rules. But that did not help me. Similar with my router. I dont think there is a firewall problem between my computer and the squeezebox, because they are both integrated in the lan area. and maybe the router has a firewall integrated which is active against stuff oudside the own network, but not within the own network. I played a lot with different kind of rules. Nothing helped.
In my case, what helped is a magic restart of the server with this command: sudo service logitechmediaserver restart (logitech changed the filenames ... so when you google for squeezebox server restart ubuntu you will originally find a slightly different command which did not work for me) But after a server restart, my squeezebox plays again absolutely perfect with the spotify triode plugin!! I dont know, what the problem is, but i dont think this is a firewall issue. Somehow it always worked when i installed it new (and therefore had to do a restart of the server) and than did not work when i made i reboot. This is a solution which is allright for my. I already thought i have to quit spotify. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ahead25's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56315 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
