I may well do that. I just hadn't been using spicefly recently probably due to a complex list of hardware and OS issues (none due to the plugin) that meant I hadn't been able to do anything other than add new music without analysis to the server. However my new server has resulted in my getting the trial licence for V4 and put me back in the business of being able to manage my collection so I am now listening to Spicefly for the first time is quite a few months and enjoying it. I was happy with the old version and wondering if there was a compelling reason to upgrade other than to finance the continuing development. If I seam a little penny pinching it is because I am on a tight budget at the moment :) Your points are all valid and have in fact influenced my thinking (mainly through guilt) and if this version runs well with my setup I'll probably buy it.
