If you are using the Logitech app I think it's always using mysqueezebox.com, at least my players switch to mysqueezebox.com when I enter the green Spotify app icon.
If you are running LMS on a computer/NAS, I would suggest that you try with the third party Spotify plugin which is installed through LMS Settings/Plugin tab.
