I've just looked in more detail at the Inguz custom-convert.conf and the
LMS convert.conf.
*If* the "alc flc" section refers to Apple Lossless then I think I might
have found a clue as to the reason for the problem.
The Inguz custom-convert.conf is trying to use ALAC to decode the Apple
Lossless to PCM whereas the native LMS convert.conf uses faad for that
purpose and states "ALAC native codec not supported by default".
So, one solution worth trying would be to take a backup copy of the
Inguz custom-convert.conf and then, for one of your players, replace
Code:
--------------------
alc flc * 00:04:20:23:9b:46
# F
[alac] $FILE$ | [InguzDSP] -id "00:04:20:23:9b:46" -wav -wavo -d 24 |
[flac] -cs -5 --totally-silent -
--------------------
with this:
Code:
--------------------
alc flc * 00:04:20:23:9b:46
# F
[faad] -q -w -f 1 $FILE$ | [InguzDSP] -id "00:04:20:23:9b:46" -wav
-wavo -d 24 | [flac] -cs -5 --totally-silent -
--------------------
But substituting your player's MAC address for my '00:04:20:23:9b:46'
You should be able to REM out the original lines by adding a '#'
character at the very beginning of each of the original lines, then
adding the new section (with a blank line before and after).
Then check the Settings/Advanced/File Types and test it out.
If it fails you can edit the custom-convert.conf again, deleting the
lines you have added and deleting the '#' characters that you added to
the start of the original lines. (If you get into a mess you can always
replace the file with your backup copy.
Note: I would guess that the new section won't allow you to 'seek' and
you will have to place a track from the start to the end. However, *if*
this test works it might be possible to then enable the seek.
Sorry I can't test this out myself - I don't have any Apple Lossless
files to test it with.
