Thanks for your swift reply. I've just triggered the hang to test this.
There is nothing at all written in the server log when I trigger the
hang; however, I attached strace to the LMS process and saw hundreds of
lines like this:
gettimeofday({1351163736, 557881}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 561609}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 563809}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 567383}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 570771}, NULL) = 0
brk(0xba66000) = 0xba66000
gettimeofday({1351163736, 574057}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 575029}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 577516}, NULL) = 0
gettimeofday({1351163736, 578821}, NULL) = 0
So it seems the LMS is constantly calling gettimeofday for some reason.
The menus question was about starting a SQL playlist from the squeezebox
player's menus without using Dynamic Playlists. When I start a SQL
playlist from the web interface I can pause and restart just fine, and
if I could start a SQL playlist from the player I would be happy. The
squeezeslave interface is just the same as the squeezebox classic (or
boom) interface, by the way.
