Hi,

I have a problem with the sync of two squeezeslaves instances.

This is my configuration:
Server:
Lubuntu 12.10 64bit - running Logitech Media Server 7.7.2 and
Squeezeslave 1.2-311
Notebook (for sync testing):
Lubuntu 12.10 64 bit - running Squeezeslave 1.2-311

The music starts in sync but runs out of sync after some time:
[12-10-31 21:15:16.5796] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync
(530) playPoints: 00:00:00:00:00:01: 1351714488.572, 00:00:00:00:00:02:
-63
[12-10-31 21:15:17.5802] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync
(530) playPoints: 00:00:00:00:00:01: 1351714488.574, 00:00:00:00:00:02:
-65
[12-10-31 21:15:18.5806] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync
(530) playPoints: 00:00:00:00:00:01: 1351714488.575, 00:00:00:00:00:02:
-67
[12-10-31 21:15:19.5809] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_CheckSync
(530) playPoints: 00:00:00:00:00:01: 1351714488.576, 00:00:00:00:00:02:
-70

The server never tries to sync and after some reasearch I think I found
the problem:
Squeezeslave doesn't support skipAhead and also doesn't support
pauseForInterval.

So there is no chance to sync the two players. I copied an old version
of "pauseForInterval" into the Squeezeslave code.
Than the server syncs but on each sync it scratches a bit, so it's not a
real solution (or is this the normal behaviour on squeezeboxes too?).

How do other people handle this problem?
No one running two Squeezeslave instances?

Hope someone can give me a hint!

Best Regards,
Chris
