I don't know why your system doesn't give AAC between that and the
"connection reset" - make me "feel" there is something in your network
access causing problems.
The Tunein URL has a list of acceptable which "tells" Tunein which
formats can be played. The default for a local LMS has a format as
follows

For BBC this returns a URL with AAC and WMA URls. LMS will then try to
connect AAC which seems to fail on your system and then the WMA fails.
To avoid getting WMA URls from Tunein - save the URL and remove the wma,
wmpro, wmvoice options.
