Seems I spoke too soon. Playback on pre-recorded content seemed ok until I tried to sync two players, this worked for a little while but when I tried to resume after pausing it broke again and refused to play and only restarting LMS would fix it, after which syncing would break it again. Yesterday I completely re-installed Squeezeplug on my Pi (I needed to put on the latest version anyway) and reinstalled LMS 7.2.2. I have left the iPlayer app settings as default with transcoding enabled.
