I know this is a dreadfully late reply - but great suggestions, and thank you.
For the first item, are you suggesting reversing the sync direction so that what's playing on the SB starts playing the iPod (and the associated playlist of items). Secondly, I like the idea of remembering servers plus devices. How would you expect this to work if there were multiple devices on a server - would a "preferred player" or "default player" be what you'd want it to remember.
