don't recall, but I do know I always keep my plugins up to date. (And I'm using muiscinfoScr for managing display on my Transporter).
This really is puzzling me, as changes back to 2010 imho do not touch the bitrate handler at all. Actually it should not be influenced by any change I did since its introduction. But yet I do see failure every now and then too (not always!). Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet, as I'm not aware of the root cause of the problem.
