It must have an Album Artist or a Composer - if the Composer is consistent across the album (or there are 2 composers max) it will credit the album to that composer as the titled artist. If you want something else as the titled artist (Sarah Brightman is a performer strictly speaking, though it's almost as valid to have her under Artist) you should clarify it with use of the Album Artist tag. The change is to do with the simplification of the deduction of titled artist introduced in 1.5.05, due to the confusion it created with some users.
