My solution for now: After a few woeful weeks, I finally found the time, bit the bullet, and attempted downgrading back to the OpenSUSE 11.4 distro kernel (2.6.37.6) -- and all my Spotify problems went away! (My family, especially my kids, are extremely pleased with this outcome, to say the least, so I'll have to think twice before replacing this ancient OS with a more recent version as I had planned doing ASAP. ;-) >> I also tried limiting the stream bandwidth of my players in their >> respective settings pages. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to use bandwidth limiting with your plugin? > I'd suggest retrying the self test - does it show the both streaming > tests working ok and is it using the same player as you have the problem > with (it is random which player it uses, so maybe turn the others off). > At present your debugs show a problem with streaming - its really only > the self test which breaks the streaming into two stages and helps > assess if this is a problem getting to the server or getting to the > player. Unfortunately, I forgot running the self test with the most affected players prior to downgrading the kernel -- sorry for not being more helpful! _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
