It happened today. And there was quite a bit of luck involved. I found out how you can bundle arm6 builds for the old devices with Appz built with Apple's current toolkit and the original plan was to just bundle iPeng 1.6.1 for the old devices with a current version.
That left me with a problem, though: I would also have to support iOS 4.3 on new devices. It might only be a few users but delivering a crashing App to them wasn't really an option. This is where I got lucky. While a lot of the iPeng 2.0 eye candy depends on iOS 5 it turned out that just taking everything out that's not supported in iOS 4 is not too bad and works for most features. After all, iPeng originally dates back to iOS 2 times.... So in the end I found that by disabling some of the eye candy and a few UI features I could just compile the current version for iOS 4. As I said: a lot of luck involved here.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
