A couple of weeks ago I purchased and installed a ReadyNAS Ultra (x86) with LMS 7.2.2. I'm pretty sure I successfully had the 3rd party Spotify plugin up and running too on my new NAS/LMS setup, but a few days ago I discovered it didn't work anymore.
The Self Test reports: Helper App Running / PASS Not Logged In / FAIL Failed To Receive Metadata / FAIL Actually I discovered it didn't work right after I was prompted to restart the media server due to the Spotify 2.2.12 plugin update, however that could easily be a coincidence, since I probably hadn't listened to a Spotify stream over the NAS for a week or so at that time. I'm not sure what "The Helper App" is and if I am or should be using it? On my old media server (Win7, with Spotify working) I have "Always Stream via Helper" option disabled. At first I didn't see this option today on the NAS, but it might have been there before (though, disabled too). I now tried installing the official Spotify plugin in addition to Triode's unoffical, and I got the "Always Stream via Helper" option on my NAS (also/again?). However it doesn't make any difference if it is checked or not. It does look like login problems and of course I have reentered and controlled spotify username and password several times.
