Well, that's the plan: if your file is corrupted, then you'll have to start from scratch. How large is your collection? I'm surprised how small artwork.db is compared to library.db. If your music collection is that large, but the artwork cache is small, then I guess the scan and pre-caching never ever finished correctly.
