I am successful in connecting the my raspberry pi to my home LMS from a remote location. I have two issues though: 1) in order for LMS to display "squeezelite" as a player (I am connected to my home LMS on a Windows 7 PC), I have to putty into the raspberry pi and start squeezeslave first: sudo /etc/init.d/squeezeslave start. Why is that? What changes do I have to make to restart it at boot? 2) High Resolution FLAC files (96/24) are playing a bit slow! I can connect to my home LMS and when I play a tune through Squeezeplay on my PC (wireless), it plays at the proper speed. I play the 96/24 FLAC file simultaneously on the raspberry pi (Ethernet), a 3 minute song finishes about 10 seconds later than the SqueezePlay If anyone answers, please go slow with me if I need to present a log file. I'll need some simple instructions, as my line commands are a bit rusty. Also, I won't be back to the remote location for another week or so to debug.(I am not sure what port do I selct on the remote location to forward if I want to log in to the remote pi from my home network?
