Would it be possible for you guys to sort search results?
Dean used to say: "It's software - anything can be done". But somebody has to do it. My resources are very limited. This is something I'd expect a service to do (their search in their desktop app is similarly poor imho).
You could use levenshtein distance in your algorithm so the closest matches are sorted to the top.
I don't even know what this is. But as you are familiar with it, why don't you give it a try? ;-)
