Many thanks for your reply. I think my NAS sometimes chokes when it is doing anything on top of LMS (e.g. virus scan, etc.) and it sounds like this plugin is gonna be quite heavy (I have a nearly 3TB music library). Then I guess another feasible (and free) thing to do would be to start a separate LMS server (maybe even a DLNA server if I don't mind using DLNA to play) on a separate machine then.
