This tutorial worked for older LMS versions, I think it should work for
the latest LMS with a few adjustments:

The plugin requires a license these days and you need to have License
Manager plugin installed. You can apply for a free 30 day evaluation
license to try it out before you purchase a real license.

If you want it to affect Android remote control apps, you might be able
to do that through the above tutorial and use the free "Hide Menus"
plugin to hide the normal browse menus. 

Just notice that none of this will affect the "Search" menu, it will
just make it easier for kids to access a smaller part of your library.
