I've been using the TuneIn app to find many of the NPR programs that I listen to. If you type in the name of the program in the main "Search Tunein" screen it should find most of the programs you are looking for. You can also go to the Podcasts category if you prefer to browse by genre. If you go to Podcasts/Talk/Public Radio/Explore Public Radio you can find tons of programs listed by State as well as by station call letters.
