I think it's down to some changes in the kernel - there needs to be a much higher send buffer (setsockopt) set in the plugin than is currently configured I think (this was confirmed in 'this thread' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97851-Spotify-Triode-problem-Frequent-bufferunderruns) a while ago) and Triode changed it for version 2.3 onwards but this only seemed to fix single client playback. As soon as streaming is attempted, clients start skipping, rebuffering and eventually skipping tracks.
