@rgro That setting tells you that the server will pre-cache artwork for iPeng. There's a server feature that allows Apps to register the artwork sizes they use for pre-caching (since 7.8). This means the thumbnails are already being created by the scanner so the server doesn't have to do this when they are being used the first time which can improve performance quite a bit.
The checkbox is to delete a set of artwork when you no longer use an App. For example, if you do have a non-retina iPad or you use iPeng 2.x on an iPhone it will use 150x150 artwork. If you then update to a newer iPad or you switch from iPeng 2 to iPeng 7 on the iPhone you would no longer need the 150x150 artwork so you can save some space and scanning time by removing them. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 7, the Universal App for iOS 7* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
