Hi, Been using the plugin ever since it came out on my VortexBox server. I am now going to power it down, to be replaced by a Intel NUC dn2820fykh that works primarily as an HTPC based on Plex, and secondarily as a samba and LMS server. I intend to run a Linux dist on it, but had a few issues with Graphics drivers on the NUC. So I tried out W 8.1.
I want the NUC to boot up into Plex HT like if it was an appliance. In addition, PMS and LMS need to be windows services, or they will not start. Plex HT displays within 10 seconds, but the servers are not up just yet. For like 5 seconds, Plex HT has no connection to PMS. When LMS comes to life, the Spotify plugin is broken. Player tries to connect but can't. I see this piece in the helper app log: [11:06:20.118] main:813 newstream connection from 192.168.1.71 [11:06:20.118] main:1620 Now playing: The Ghetto - Atjazz Remix [11:06:48.939] music_delivery:571 error writing [11:06:48.939] main:1603 resetting streambuf I have disabled the Win firewall, but have anyway allowed spotifyd.exe there. Now to the strange stuff. Once I exit Plex HT app, the helper app is working and the Touch starts to play the music. So it is as if there is a timing issue while booting where that Plex HT reserves some resource (could that be a socket) from the OS (possibly as it tries to connect with PMS), so that the socket (or whatever it is) cannot finalize its setup? I once thought it could be a clash or a race condition for sockets and ports, but I can't figure it out. So the remedy I have now is to exit Plex HT, and then use the task manager to restart it. All appears to be working then but I have not yet tested stuff. This requires a keyboard and a mouse which I do not like. It is supposed to run 24/7 so this is not a big deal, but I would really like to have it solved. Another solution I might try out is to delay the Plex HT with about 10 seconds so that LMS/Spotify can complete their initializations. Any idea?
