I just unticked Spotify in SmartMix and yeah the mix works with my music
library. Maybe something new you introduced in SmartMix that broke the
mixes from Spotify?

Ok, 1.5.3 is on its way to you. I identified one potential cause for that silent failure you are experiencing. I can't say whether this is what is breaking things for you, but it could have been.

So please:

- update to 1.5.3
- try to play some mix
- if it still fails: enable debugging for plugin.smartmix. This is really noisy now. But please send the full server.log file to me (not only the last x lines!). - go to Settings/Advanced/SmartMix, remove the country setting (if you get a dropdown box), or set it to XX (if you get a simple text input box).
- try again
