Nitro is still not public so no timescale for getting the Extras
functionality back.

With Nitro there is a possibility of replacing the feeds functionality -
pity the poor owners of Sony and Toshiba TVs whose iPlayer functionality
has also been killed with no chance of a firmware update.

When Nitro is eventually made public, AFAICT it will be a bit of a mess
as my Extra plugin will need a Nitro "key" and the choice will be either
to embed a key registered to me (which then may be copied by any user)
or get every Extras user to get their own key. I think this means the
BBC may have to rethink Nitro shortly after it gets launched as there
will probably be widespread copying of "keys" and so defeating purpose
of the key (to identify apps and restrain/suspend if problems arise)
