Thanks for the suggestion. I assume you are referring to the numerous
433Mhz transmitters for use with the Pi, of which I see plenty on ebay.
However, I have not been able to find a receiver/relay that uses 5V to
switch the 120V power to the amp - most of them seem to use 12 or 24VDC,
so I would need another power source. Not a big deal, but I thought that
if a USB power relay solution existed, this would be a simpler solution
for use with a laptop (of which I have plenty - I don't have any Pi at
the moment).

Another solution would be to employ an input signal sensing relay to
control the amplifier power. Many new inexpensive amps have this built
in, but I would prefer to use the NAD amps that I currently have. The
idle current is probably very low based on the minimal heat output, but
I'd prefer to switch them if possible.
