Indeed, and of course there are a number of ways of getting to the fallback mp3 streams (TuneIn, Radiofeeds app), so nobody needs to go without on squeezebox. I actually think the BBC have gone about switching over the live streams this in a commendable way, giving a universal fallback option while the technology advances. So, I also think the reaction on the BBC blog is over the top. On squeezebox we will have a way of using the new better, higher bitrate, live streams (via squeezebox server at least), so surely we will only benefit. I guess the bigger impact will be when they switch over the listen again streams to HLS. Which I understand is also part of this process. Squeezebox users who use a local server will be ok (I'm guessing) as it will be possible to amend the iplayer plugin. However I understand it will be the end of the BBC radio applet on the squeezebox radio/touch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
