Over in the BBC blog, Andrew Scott has said that "the RTMP streams will
be shut down as well. We've never published the RTMP streams, they have
only ever been expected to be used by our own applications so we have
not published a timeline for that. If you are using a device which
consumes those streams you should expect them to stop as well."

The significance of this is that the RTMP/AAC streams that we're
accessing presently for Listen Again are at risk. But is Andrew Scott
correct in saying that they have only ever been expected to be used for
the BBC's own applications? Does anyone have a full history of how it is
that we've ended-up using the RTMP/AAC streams on this basis? I suspect
he's plain wrong!
