For a similar reason (a household member who manages to hit the shuffle button accidently and then complains that my server messes up the movements of a beethoven symphony) i have written a plugin to prevent the shuffle mode. See here:

Should turn up in the list of "Third Party Plugins" in next days. If you want to use it please have a look in it's settings menu after you installed it.
