My experience is that the HLS live streams (320kbps) are rock solid once they start (both with Triode's new alpha plugin and the PlayHLS route). I've got fairly cruddy broadband (2Mb/s if I'm lucky), and I'm using a single core arm v6 NAS (ZyXEL) which is pretty heavily loaded with Triode's plugin and aac->faad->flac transcoding going to my squeezebox receivers. The only problem I've seen is that quite often the stream won't start first time - on Web GUI need to press 'play' again in the player panel - but is then fine. I've been listening to radio 3 non-stop since 7am today, without a single drop-out. It therefore sounds unlikely that your problem is processor performance related or at the BBC end. More likely some oddity in your own network. I know that isn't much help! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ utgg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40900 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
