The SmartMix plugin is now working after implementing the above. So you increased the timeout from 30 to 60 and the plugin now uploads data in blocks of 500 songs instead of 2500 (?). Question is: did the timeout solved it or the max_upload?
That's a great question, and I'd love to know the answer. I hoped you'd apply one change after the other, so we could figure this one out :-).
Upping the timeout seems a cheap change to apply by default. But I'm probably going to add a "failsafe" vs. "fast" export option. Exporting 2000 items at once usually is much faster than doing it in small batches. But if it goes at the cost of reliability, then I might re-consider this.
For your info, SmartMix on my main LMS server (7.8) which is running on my ReadyNAS NVX runs perfect without these changes. The ReadyNAS uses the same Internet connection as the Wandboard. In other words, I don't understand why SmartMix on my main LMS server works fine without these mods.
It might have been a temporary hiccup in your internet connection. The NVX is x86 based, isn't it? But upload-speed shouldn't be CPU bound anyway.
