While I still don't know exactly what causes this I have found 2 ways to make it go away on my systems. 1 - Revert back to LMS 7.7.5 or 2 - Turn on logging for "(player.fonts) - Player Display (Font & Bitmap Information)" to "Info" or "Debug" I discovered these while trying to troubleshoot the problem. The 2nd one surprised me. I had logging on all week with LMS 7.9.0 trying to get a hint at what was going on and the MLB bitmap logos worked all week. I turned the logging off as I got ready to release 5.9.25 and the getMLB-28 text showed up in place of the Royals logo again. So I turned this particular log setting back on to "Info" and the bitmap logos started showing again. Not sure why it works, but it is an easy change if you want to try it. It doesn't really increase the size of your server.log file either.
