Sorry but I don think I understand what you mean. As far as I know
Synology's package never had the ability to do AAC out of the box. I
tried the package of Synology and having (almost) the same architecture,
'downloaded some m4a files here'
(http://download.wavetlan.com/SVV/Media/HTTP/http-aac.htm) and they do
play. What player do you use?
