I thought it was 16bit 44.1kHz, at least that's what I read somewhere. The DAC I have has a glitch, even when it's doing 44.1kHz it displays 48kHz, so I can't tell what Android was outputting.
Setting a higher output sampling rate in SB Player just means that the app is sending audio into the system at that higher rate. The app has no control over what is actually outputted to the DAC. The 24bit PCM has to be converted to Floating Point PCM, but Floating Point PCM has the same dynamic range as 24bit. (The summary under this setting in Preferences should have explained this) BuddyRich wrote: > This I know. This option enables the app to convert DSD audio to PCM (24bit/352.8kHz). That PCM audio is then resampled to the selected Output Sampling Rate. It's mainly useful for servers that can't resample, since there's a plugin for the server that will do the same conversion.
