Interestingly we have established that by default SB Player announces itself as 44.1 capable but that BBC Plugin / LMS still sends the stream as 16/48. Why would that be? LMS correctly down samples 24/96 FLAC to 14/44.1 etc but the BBC plugin seems fixed at the original HLS format 16/48.
wt0 says that AAC in SBPlayer is set to be down sampled anyway and it works on his Nexus 7 and my Tab 3 but not on Anazon Fire TV.
