With 2.5.0 I've been playing flacs (24/48000) on my Marantz, which can't do gapless so has 'Player handles "next track"' set to 'no'.
With flcs, there seems to be a noticeable sound 'blip' at the end of each track. If I change to pcm (wav) it seems less prominent. This may all just be in my imagination - I'm going away for a few days shortly so am slightly rushed. I don't often use this device with sq2u so it also could be something that's been around for a while. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to MF amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay (control point) to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
