As corny as it is I quite like Ford Sync (for > Voice Recognition at any rate) in my truck and it works surprisingly > well for playing albums, artists and tracks based on my voice input. I haven't found any issues. iOS 9 in general has been very issue free for me. There's a problem in some Apps with localizations (Facebook, for example, through funny mashups of German and English phrases at me no matter what I set the language to) but I haven't seen those in iPeng. There is no such thing as a Siri API for iOS. There is one for CarPlay but that's kind of invitation-only although I'm definitely trying to get in there. There's also an API for AppleTV, have to figure out how that works. I plan to eventually use dictation on the Watch. WRT iOS9-specific features: that will come gradually. I plan to have a version that supports multitasking on iPad ASAP (first beta due this week) and then search integration will probably become a thing. As will a native watchOS App (have to solve some issues with things that _no longer_ work under watchOS 2 that worked fine under watchOS 1, such as scrolling labels...) 3D touch... we'll see. The way Apple uses it it probably primarily lends itself to using it in place of the long press gesture but from what I've seen so far it will be hard to even notice the difference... --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 8, the Universal App for iOS 7 and iOS 8* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
