I had a similar issue of the streams stopping after the BBC changed to HLS format and solved it by changing the default read/wait value in the config file from 100 to 350 as follows: <max_read_wait>350</max_read_wait>. The 350 value was arrived at by trial and error and although Philippe wasn't keen on this approach, it worked and I've not noticed any ill effects. The value can't be changed through the GUI but the config.xml file is now called upnpbridge.xml and is located in the prefs folder.
