Thanks Ronnie I think that's sound advice. I'm more annoyed about my readyNAS not booting up and now it's stuck on disc sync ... also the backup disc I was using from the nas is unreadable when I plug it into the laptop.
What is the point of having all this storage and backups if they appear to only work if viewed through the nas. .what happens when the nas stops working!
