Is it only volume that doesn't work? How long does this last? And again: does this happen, too, if you don't use the music folder? If you play the same playlist from the playlists folder? I've now asked this several times and somehow you don't want to answer that question. There is an issue with Music Folder playing on some systems (never really found out which ones, thought it's Windows only) and iPeng has a specific setting as a workaround for these cases but it has no effect with LMS 7.9 because it potentially conflicts with the library views and it's untested with 7.9 and I thought 7.9 fixes the issue anyway.
Also: are these all local tracks or are tracks from online services in your playlist? If yes, which services? I don't know what the problem is. You seem to be the only one experiencing this so it's something special with either your setup or how you use it. Sure, it might be a bug in iPeng, I'm not saying it's not but if it is it's somehow a bug that only applies to a setup like yours and I still need to somehow reproduce that to find out what's going on. When you say it works with e.g. SqueezePad does this mean it works if you do the exact same sequence of actions (browsing music folder and then playing the playlist) there? Your log files look like a player is newly connecting so the ickStream plugin retrieves a menu for that player. Twice. Then there is a server error saying it doesn't know the player it's trying to talk to (or that it retrieves commands for). So from your log it looks like your player disconnects from the server which would explain why you can't control it. There are no other errors so this is a bit strange, why would it do that?
